Description

A wonderful vibrant Antique Persian runner woven with animals and bold geometric medallions. Woven in the north of Persia around 1880-1890 it is in great condition, ideal for a long hall or corridor.  We have professionally secured all the ends and sides/selvedges on this long antique runner to preserve and strengthen it.  This interesting tribal runners use star, animal and geometric motifs scattered around the deep blue background.

. . .

The variant of the indigo blue dye is particularly impressive as it changes significantly as you can see on the photograph.  In excellent pile all over this would enhance many long halls or corridors, especially after we lay it securely with the correct underlay adding body stopping it from moving on any floor type, whether it be wood, stone or carpet.

We have a vast inventory of antique and contemporary runners, if you do not see a size you are looking for please contact us as we are always purchasing exciting new pieces.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire & the UK by appointment.
